A Few Happy Customers

Star,
She is a great puppy. The girls named her "Roxy". We took her to school on Tuesday afternoon and to soccer practice last night and she will go with us to pick the girls up from youth group at church tonight. Roxy is making the rounds and is a huge hit!
She has done great the last two nights in the crate, and absolutely loves being outside. I think (knock on wood) that she will be pretty easy to potty train.
I've attached a couple of pictures. Thanks for blessing us!

Hello Star,
Everything is going wonderful at our home with the new puppy. The three kids can't seem to get enough of him. The boys came up with a name that I believe suits him well. Tyler and T.J. chose Joey. The first night went great. Joey did not make a peep at all. Of course, I put him to bed with me as soon as the boys fell asleep (he is just too sweet). He really has been such a rush of sweetness to all of us since we brought him home. I know that will only keep growing, and a strong bond will be made with Tyler, T.J., Lauren and Joey as they continue to grow. Joey loves to run around the back yard with the kids. He always seems to have his ears perked up and an eye on them ready for any action. But he has no problem laying on the floor with the kids all covered up and watching a movie. I feel he has taken to our house and outside very well and quickly.
Scott and I can't thank you enough for all the suggestions you have given us to help us in raising a great dog the best way possible. I could tell by Joey's mother and father he already has a step ahead. It is also great to know we will be able to stay in touch through the years, and if further questions come up I feel you would always be concerned and more than willing to help answer any questions.
Thank you both for everything. Take care.

Star,
I can't believe it's been a month since we brought our little guy home. He is doing wonderfully, and is pretty much housebroken. We take him everywhere we go - soccer games, grandparent's houses, school pick-up line, etc. We have had numerous comments on his temperament and even the shape of his head! I am so grateful I found you as a breeder. We feel we really got a wonderful addition to the family.
I wanted to touch base and see how Austin did on his evaluation for showing. He is such a beautiful dog. Hope all is going well with your family and the Goldens!

Hi Star!
I just wanted to tell you how much we love our little Sunny. He is so sweet. He has adjusted nicely to our home. He is content in the create and sleeps through the night since day one. He knows how to site, shake, wait for his food when I put it down until I say OK. We're working on a few other things too. We're still working on the potty training and he seems to be getting it. He LOVES to find the biggest leaf when we go outside. It has to be one that blocks his view of where he is going. He is so funny! Sunny doesn't mind getting a bath. We weighs 14.3 pounds as of today when we went to the vet to start his shots. He is happy, healthy and we love him a lot! I will send you pictures through snail mail soon.
Thanks again,
Take care, Susan!
Just checking in - we have all totally fallen in love with Rusty - he fits in perfectly. The first couple of days, Roxy wanted nothing to do with him, but now they are the best of friends. He is growing like a weed and has the sweetest disposition (even more so than you would expect from a Golden) and I must say he is exceptionally smart - he mastered sit and lay down within 2 weeks of us getting him.
Thanks for everything!

I have wanted a new puppy for so long, and after contacting Star about the litter she had, I knew I had to go see them. Gunny stole my heart from the minute I saw him, and I could not be more pleased with him. He is a beautiful retriever, with a great personality and disposition. We live on a lake and have a point lot, Gunny sits for long periods staring down the cove, listening to the sounds of the lake, and he looks so at peace with the world. Thanks for taking such great care to raise these retrievers with love and your family's love, it truly shows in the dogs you breed.
God's peace

Star,
What a blessing Sunny has been to our lives and our home! We are truly enjoying him and he is soooo smart! (and soooo cute!) He is already potted trained, sits, shakes, dances, and even carries the water hose to his wading pool! For the first time last night we let him sleep wherever he wanted in the house (which I know was risky) but he did well and ended up sleeping most of the night under our bed anyway. I can’t tell you what a joy it has been to have another dog (puppy) in our home again after our beloved Shadow passed away! Thank you so much for being a blessing to us! He is a wonderful dog and we love him very much!

We are so happy with the two dogs that we got from Star. They are incredibly friendly and responsive to both adults and children. Each one has its own distinct personality: Backster, the male, is an easy-go-lucky, laid back dog with an old soul; Fiona, the female, is athletic, sweet natured and sensitive. Both dogs are extremely affectionate and never pass up the chance for a belly rub. They have a wonderful relationship with each other, but have also bonded well to every member in our family. We feel very fortunate to have found Star. She spent a lot of time talking to us about our particular interests as well as our ability to provide for the dogs. She is a very knowledgeable breeder, who takes great pride in her dogs, their pedigree and placement.

Dear Star –
We are having a great time with Gus. He is nearly 6 months old and about 40 lbs. As I write this in the office at home, he is laying next to me. We took him to Anna's cousin's farm in southern Illinois last weekend and he went crazy over those wide open spaces! He took his first plunge into a pond and came out happy as he could be. We hosed him off but he was ready to go back in. I think he saw some fish jumping and wanted to play. It was funny.
Our daughter Amy is off to Mizzou in two weeks and she is already missing Gussie. Our son came home yesterday and scooped him up, carrying him around the house. The puppy just loves it. He thinks he is still 10 lbs.
Every now and then we visit your website and look at the puppies. It reminds us of how happy we were when we left with Gussie. We still are.
Hope all is well with you and your family.
Best regards...Steve Oslica

Hi Star,
I took Louie to my vet yesterday, and he received a clean bill of health! He was really good at the vet - he is such an easy going, calm dog. He weighs 20 lbs now! We can hardly carry him. The vet said he probably will be a big dog, maybe 80 lbs. Louie and Ernie really like each other. They play and wrestle all the time. Nothing intimidates him - he just goes after Ernie and plays. Ernie loves it! He is gentle to the puppy, though.
I'm really happy with Louie. Thank you for giving me such a great puppy! It is a great joy to have these two dogs.

Star,
Bella is such a wonderful addition to our family. She is such a sweet, calm, smart puppy. We have had her for approximately 2 1/2 months now and she already knows how to sit, shake with both paws, give high five, and sit up. She is loving our 3 kids and other dogs and has quickly taken her place in our hearts. She can't quite make it through the night yet, but always wakes me to go outside. She has such a wonderful temperament that we hope to get her certified to be a therapy dog next year. We will keep you posted on her progress.
